A Photo Blog on Munnar.
Munnar has settled down after the heavy rush to see the Neelakurunji blooms last year (These beautiful flowers bloom only around every 15 years). But Munnar still remains breathtakingly beautiful - A place to relax and rejuvenate. This year’s our team outing was to Munnar – the enchanting land of tea plantations – probably the hot favorite hill station in Kerala.
While enjoying the scenic beauty at Photo Point, Mattupetty Dam, Echo Point, Kundale Lake, Top Station, Eravikulam National Park, waterfalls etc, don’t forget to visit the Munnar Tea Museum maintained by Tata Company. Museum shows growth and development of the plantations in Munnar. It also reminds us about how tea was processed in old times through the old photographs and machinery. A small session on how tea leaves become tea powder and live demonstration makes the visit even more interesting. We can also get to buy the various types of tea – cardamom, vanilla, lemon, masala etc.
And hey, don’t forget to take a morning walk among the plantations – breathing the fresh air and enjoying the greenery.
Here comes some of the photos taken during our trip there.
